Synchronicity Part Deux!

I meant to post this soon after my Blind Fury post, but I was with some friends talking about that guy, Blind Rapper slicing rappers to pieces, and I start thumbing through a copy of Inked magazine. I'm telling you, if you haven't thumbed through this mag yet, you're missing on some eye candy, sweet sweet nectar. It showcases tattoo artists from far and wide, and has great cultural pieces, history, gang culture, all of that.

Anyways, so I'm talking and thumbing and we start getting technical about Fury, like, there's gotta be some kind of sense of visual perception. He can't be 100% blind can he? I figured it's like that commercial where this kid is at a street corner, making fun of a blind man with a walking stick. The kid starts waving and hopping in front of the guy's face like a douchebag. Then as soon as he turns around, the blind guy starts imitaing him perfectly, with the message explaining the whole partial perception thing.

So after I explain that, I figured his sight resembled Daredevil where he goes by vibrations like a bat. Two seconds after that, the very next page, what do I see but a splash page of a guy with an incredible daredevil tattoo.

I almost jumped from my seat. In fact, I made a weird noise when I motioned them to check out what just happened.

So for the tl;dr people, this shit happens alot. Don't deny it, cause there are no coincidences. And there are no rules, when you've got play-doh.

Blind Fury

Sometimes, flicking through channels has its rewards. Freestyle Friday. 106 & Park. This show man...I can't even tell you how hyped up I used to get listening to Jinn tha MC or Paperboy coming out of that. Unfortunately neither achieved much success but , hey the memories are there, for me at least.

It used to be one of those things we used to talk about in High School the next Monday, like "yo you seen that shit Goooddddddammmmmmnnn!!!!" During Jinn's rise, they even had sponsors for just that 5 minute section of the show.

Anyways, the other night made me rekindle that love of antagonistic programming once again when I seen this dude called Blind Fury.

He tore ass. I'm telling you...he ripped butt...and he's blind. You know how much shit this guy must have went through to get this far? I mean, just youtube him for the last couple weeks and you'll see how personal these guys get at him. My favourite was when he pulled out a surprise for one of the guest judges Chris Brown. This is nice.

Cave Theory, boyeeeeeee!

I think I'm in denial of how much I like lifting from a book. I think I'm gonna do that more often.

Anyway, Plato's Allegory of the Cave was one of my favourite stories from Philosophy class back in the heezy. Amazing but not so surprising how relevant it still is. Enjoy!

Talking Heads

There's this author/psychologist Carol Lieberman who felt the wrath of nerd nation when she suggested games can turn a buncha young bastards into rapists. That's why there is an uptick of that crime these days, says her, who's also trying to sell a book.

In this book, Bad Girls: Why Men Love Them & How Good Girls Can Learn Their Secrets, critics argue that she's teaching girls how to dupe men using their alluring skills to get what they want...not sure this is a real safe thing to encourage a generation of girls, but hey, what do I look like, some type of book person man-guy?

Anyways, these people were so pissed at her spewing her treachery on Fox 'News' that they went on amazon and left some pretty funny 'reviews'. I don't feel like arguing good or bad, so I'll just leave this well done article right her with charts and a good writer person too.

Palpable Perception

Is there a way to see colours more intensely? Not with 'shrooms, I mean is there something we can derive from internally that would intensify something so we could perceive an object to be more than it really is?
I'm not speaking about ideas or events, just things like a building or an open road seeming more vibrant...obviously if they're full of Spring Breakers and dixie cups it would be, but I don't mean it that way but a lot more simpler. A predominately red billboard being seen brighter and more fluid than the simple crimson cardboard it usually is...this isn't working out. I'm gonna eat, then think about it in my sleep.

'Ello!

I saw 'I am number four' the other day and, although I am the worst movie critic you will meet in your lifespan 'cause I like almost every movie I see, this one was sweet, like a modern day, no costume wearing super hero movie.
Reminded me of a PS3 game called inFamous, with some of the powers. Again, as stated in previous posts, this movie also had a power trippy, 3 hour after effect on me and I felt niceeee...
Oh, and I was thinking something to myself that I wanted to write down, so I'll type it here later. *.*

Deviant thoughts

I spend waaaaay more time admiring the works of others instead of practicing my own. Just when I start drawing again after a huge break, I finally join Deviant Art...it's just incredible. I have no idea what I would create if I had those tools and skills at my disposal, and I wish I could match their patience with it all.
Anyways, until I finally learn to colour, one more ink drawing...but I swear, in the next few months, I'm hoping to leap a little bit.
Feelin' Froggy?
