Cybernetikaaaaaaaa!!!!!

I think I screwed up the colors, black & white looks better. Gonna try it again and count it as a new post :)

I've been wanting to really get into steampunk exploration, flesh some stuff out. Or maybe just some good ol' fashioned trans humanism.

collage a trois

third one, want to keep it going, hate my computer, need to draw more. Thank you for listening

Stupid Cognitive Dissonance

Man, I'm such an idiot for missing last weeks Soundgarden reunion show that kicked off at Molson Amphitheatre. I remember when they split up, and how bummed I was thinking I wasn't gonna see them again.

I'm an idiot. But it's hard to find diehard grunge fans to blow 60-80 bucks to go with you. Those were the days.

Now I have no problem finding people for a Yeezy, Weezy, Jeezy, or a Jay-Z show but I'll be fuck damned to find a crew to take to a show from a 20 year career band.

Whatevs, next year when they come back after their new album drops, I'll get another shot, maybe AIC will open up for them.

K now I feel better.

These are some pen sketches again, too bad I've been more busy doing actual work at work lately to keep doing these collage types, but I'll find way to continue them

Water Weight

Not sure if I should add colour or preserve the rawness of my doodle (heh), but what I am sure of is the value of a good night's sleep.

Valley of Chrome

I'm hoping to fill a page a day of these bite-sized little bastards.

Captain Obvious?

Coworkers thought I was trying to scribble some Charlie Sheen. I wasn't, but it was pretty funny when I finished it

Ladder 49

Just realized this is my 50th post! Normally, from a hack like myself that shouldn't be a big deal, but i remember saying this was gonna be something I took seriously, then quickly dropping it like a slippery fishy. That's in the past, and there's a couple people I owe to that little push I'm getting, a couple are loyal, cool, and very stylish followers.

So, some more doodles

doodle doo

I'm actually getting more drawings done at work then at home. Lame.

Anyhoo, these were some pen sketches with a hint of PS. I wanna do more of these, keep that raw quickness...in this case that's a good thing. Har.

Angry Wirds

It's incredible, the different facets of information flowing fact or fiction unfiltered through our earholes these days.

I didn't see how quick it actually happened, I think I kninda ignored the process until it became so commonplace in our ADD society.

I'm usually a step behind with these things, anyway. I got my first computer when I was 17, so i got used to not having to be up to date on everything right away.

No one takes time to process things anymore. Every waking moment is spent on an electronic device of some sort.

Studies show, spending time to reflect on things that happened throughout the day is important for your memory.

Wanna lose some good memories cause you couldn't put down Angry Birds for ten minutes?

Fuck outta here!

False Advertising

Lately, I've been finding myself being more critical of advertisements . Everything, like billboards, commercials, flyers. Everything about them. Not in a real bitter way, but I can't help but imagine what the ad agencies were drinking during their brainstorming sessions. Having run into a couple people over the years, that notion of 'enhanced perspective' isn't entirely far off.

I'm hoping maybe to make some kind of contributions to, or at least learn more about the process since it's really begun to pique my interest these last few months.

Maybe in three or four years, I'll be the guy at the agency saying 'Oh Come ON!' at the roundtable demanding change and throwing all the crap off the table in disgust.

Or, maybe in time, these same ads will start to ferment and become classics far ahead of its time and I just didn't get it.

Then again, I'm not much of an Andy Warhol fan so what do I know?

Feels Good Man!

riding the waves of serenity lately, and I don't plan on getting off my damn board...rental fees? I'll pay em late then, on my terms, and on their interest if they're interested...

Anyways, I added this one dude on DeviantArt who was pretty entertaining. He didn't draw, he just wrote out Haiku everything, even his responses to commenters. We exchanged in haiku, it was...beautiful. I really think if people don't fight it, their quirkyness will come out and show who they really is.

And like Alan Moore said, " Toughing it out doing something you love, even with little change and hustling on the side still ends up making you better off than 99% of the people out there ready to take the ol' rifle up the ol' tower."

Well not his exact words of course, but with added spice. Get the picture?

YAH TRICK YAH!

Is the cameo hairstyle making an unrequisited comeback, amongst the backpackers?

Not that I have a problem with them or like the choice of moniker, I'm a big Kanye, Big Sean, J.Cole fan (associated with the term), I'm just wondering if its been making waves (heh) and I just haven't been noticing it.

Lemme know when its okay to let my one strap of my overalls down.

Jacob's Dream

You know when you make a conscious effort towards progression? Not only in art, but in life, trying to keep in mind the past present & future and how we tie into everything?

I think pondering the questions are just as important as getting the answers, but maybe that's the wannabe metaphysicist in me.

We're like coin-ops, and while we may get another credit when we're done, there's no guarantee you'll be able to play the game on the same generation of consoles, or remember the previous iteration.

So while we're in it, explore, learn some cheat codes, and try to imagine you're avatar turning towards the screen and saying, " I know you're out there, and thanks for the 1ups, son!"

Yup, this is what happens when you're researching existentialism with the PS3 turned on XD

Hitchhikers Guide To Not Picking Up Hitchhikers

Don't?

I swear, I felt like I was in the first 20 minutes of a low budget slasher movie.

It even had dialog like " Oh, come on! He's, like, old and he's probably going to church, he's harmless"

...people tend to toy with my sometimes extreme sense of rationale. But if I'm in the passenger seat, I have the right to express it, it's part of the benefits along with the leg room.

Don't get me wrong, dude looked friendly as fuck, but that doesn't mean I have to test the odds, no matter how much of an offbeat limp was apparent.

Not gonna turn a blind eye to no glass eye, you see?

But We Talkin' about Practice, Man. C'mon...Practice?...Practice Man...

I was gonna run through some religious and mythological interpretations on this blog, but then I decided to draw a half naked woman. Figures, but hey, it's all practice, amirite?

I'm getting into this springtime artistic mode where I wanna draw a little of everything. I just tinker too damn much rather than move on to the next one but that's what I was saying about learning a new program.

The search for consistent consistency constantly consists of patience and tenacity. And no, I don't think that made sense either.

Toodles.

Buddha Buddies

A name of a faux restaurant a friend and I wanted to faux start up. Faux real, though. And back in school I came up with a brilliant ninja themed restaurant idea, complete with menu, called the Shinobi restaurant. Dude stole my menu.

But I'm not mad, though. It was very well done for a third grader whose other side project at the time was creating a diorama of my bedroom out of play-doh, complete with a Sega Genesis and a collection of videogame cartridges with their cases(!) in front of a gloriously remade 14inch tube tv with an etched-in Street Fighter screen.

And no, I never wore glasses or got wedgied.

Scanner Barkley

I feel like posting song lyrics. Nah, I'll just sing them whilst I bop my head to the audaciousness. And yes, I like leaving my corrections on page rather than erasing them as if this is a normal conversation and not a written blog...I don't feel like blogging for some reason, yet I clearly logged on...

Okay I'll just talk about pencils. I didn't realize how much I missed drawing with them, rather than prisma inking and PSing it up. It's too bad my scanner is a bit of a tosser, it's no good at picking up the subtle lines.

Now because I said tosser, I'm thinking of Wayne Rooney? That's it, I'm done.

2 for 1 Deadpan Delivery

I've seen a steady, creepy trend going on with advertising, pertaining to the dearly departed. There are simply way too many of them lately, and frankly the approach is a little cold hearted. Does a working stiff really need to be reminded where da caskets at 3 times a day? It's killing me, the kind of humour they try to suffocate us with.

I need morbid curiosity like I need a hole in the ground. These tongue and cheek ads need to be dead and buried, never to be resuscitated again. It's like I'm drowning in these things with their heart stopping callousness.

I realize promotional integrity took a swan dive off the golden gate bridge years ago, but FFS can I live without being stabbed in the brain at least for a month?

I'm dying to hear what you all think 555-pro-life, give us a call
